Lodowce ostatniej Epoki lodowcowej sprzed 10.000 lat przyniosły mu bowiem ze Skandynawii i z obszarów bałtyckich kamienie różnych wielkości, form i kolorów bezpośrednio do jego dzisiejszego warsztatu. Rozłupanie i obróbka tych kamieni jest jednak prawdziwą sztuką i żmudną pracą. Ale właśnie to dla mistrza z ulicy Puszkina jest prawdziwym wyzwaniem a zarazem przyjemnością, tym bardziej, że wyniki jego pracy można podziwiać w prywatnych ogrodach, galeriach i miejscach publicznych.

Artist Helmut Lattwin of Rehfelde never lacks for new materials for his art. Lattwin finds stones deposited by glaciers during the last ice age and brings them, across a gap of ten thousand years, into his modern studio. These stones carry with them the shapes and colors of Scandinavia and the Baltic region. Once in the studio, Lattwin begins the hard and highly artistic work of splitting and shaping the stone. This is the labor of love of the master artist of Puskinallee and the results of this labor can be found in private gardens, galleries, and public spaces.
